Robredo hits back at Uson for false reports on her visit to Taal blast victims

Vice President Leni Robredo hit back over the false allegations propagated by controversial pro-Duterte blogger and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration  (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Margaux “Mocha” Uson. Robredo proceeded to accusing Uson of being a fake news purveyor after she spread misleading information about her recent visit to the victims of Taal eruption.

Robredo said that it is an insult to the Filipino taxpayers to be employing a fake news propagator at the expense of the Filipino’s money. Uson allegedly posted on her Facebook Page “Moch Uson Blog”  a news that narrated that Rebredo spent a lot of government money in giving pan de sal to Taal victims.

Robredo went on to clarify that while there is no wrong with providing evacuees with pan de sal, it is an insult to the taxpayers and donors to release such misleading statements.

VP Robredo further said that the salary of Uson does not only come from the government funds and that the use of people’s money to spread misleading news is an “immoral thing.”

Before assuming government office, Uson was the leader of the sexy girl group named Mocha Girls. She is also known to be a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte with a following of 5.8 million in her blogging page. She was designated as Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary before resigning from the Presidential Communications Operations Office in October 2018.
