DOH to discuss work, class suspension with DepED, DOLE
Amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the Department of Health told on Monday that they are now considering class and work suspensions in select areas to ease the scare and to avoid any local transmission.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque said that he will be meeting with DepEd and DOLE to answer questions and issue recommendations, now with numerous appeals from legislators.
DOLE issued “Guidelines on the Implementation of Flexible Work Arrangement as Remedial Measure due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19” to guide the workers should there be a case of COVID in the workplace.
Recently, the DOH confirmed ten new cases, bringing up the total tally to 20.
The Local Government Units are now urged to activate local COVID task force to address concerns in cities and municipalities across the country.
