BSP, DOJ, DICT, NBI, AT PNP, dapat magtulungan para malabanan ang financial cybercrime!

Inilunsad ni Senator Grace Poe ang isang SBN 2380 o ang ‘Bank Account, E-wallet, and other Financial Accounts Regulation Act’ na naglalayong makapagbigay ng proteksyon sa online financial transactions lalo na’t mas marami na ang gumagamit nito.

Pahayag pa niya, “We must put up proper safeguards to avoid criminal activity while unlocking the potential of digital platforms.”

Kung maisasapasa sa batas ito, makakapagbigay ng stable at efficient na financial system ag SBN 2380 at mas mapagtutuonan ng pansin ang pagbibigay ng proteksyons sa mga consumers mula sa cybercriminals at mga sindikato na maaaring tumarget sa kanilang bank accounts at e-wallets.

Sa ilalim din nito ay nagtatakdang dapat mag-formulate ng “Anti-Scam/Financial Fraud Roadmap” ang mga ahensya ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), at ang Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ito’y makakatulong upang maturuan at malaman ng konsumers ang iba’t ibang mukha ng financial scams ng kanila itong miwasan, at para na rin sa mas mabilis na proseso ng enforcement at prosecution ng mga online financial cybercrime cases.

Pahayag pa ni Poe, “This measure seeks to ensure that the hard earned money of the public is kept safe.

And that public trust and confidence in the current financial system are maintained as it continues to innovate and traverse through cyberspace.”
